Claims

The process is very simple indeed.

APPOINTMENT WITH DENTAL SURGEON

In the first instance, the Patient will visit the dental surgeon if they suspect that remedial treatment is necessary.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE

The dental surgeon will, in the event of a claim, submit the following information as well as setting out the remedial work required to be undertaken.

In the event of crown/bridge/abutment fracture or abutment screw loosening

  • Xray of the implant and restoration at fitting stage.
  • Photograph or Xray of the fractured crown/bridge/abutment or loose abutment screw.
  • Confirmation that the patient has undertaken an annual review of the implant site with a dentist.
  • Confirmation that the patient has followed the dentist’s recommendations to maintain the health of the implant site.
  • Total estimated cost of the remedial work (subject to Policy Terms and Conditions)

In the event of implant failure

  • Xray of the implant at the placement stage
  • Xray or photograph of the failed implant
  • Confirmation that the patient has undertaken an annual review of the implant site with a dentist.
  • Confirmation that the patient has followed the dentist’s recommendations to maintain the health of the implant site.
  • Estimate of total cost of the remedial work (subject to Policy Terms and Conditions)

The information is submitted online to Riva Insurance Brokers Ltd who administer the policy and they will acknowledge receipt by email.

AUTHORISED PROCEDURES

Once the authorised procedure is undertaken, the Dental Practice submits supporting invoices for payment where appropriate.

PAYMENT OF CLAIMS

The Insurer or anyone acting on the Insurer’s behalf will work to process any claims quickly and efficiently.

EVIDENCE OF CLAIM

The Insurer reserves the right to request additional supporting evidence in respect of a claim.
